Directions from Houston via I-45/Bolivar Ferry:

Take I-45 South to Galveston.  Continue straight down Broadway, bear left past Stewart Beach (beach on your right). Turn left on Ferry Road to the landing (you'll see signs to the Bolivar Ferry). It takes the free Ferry ~20 minutes to travel across Galveston Bay to Bolivar Peninsula.

When you get off the Ferry you are on Highway 87 at the community of Port Bolivar.  Drive about 17 miles.  On the right is a blue sign for Caplen Shores (it is an unpaved road), turn right, and look for the bright yellow house on the beach.

Directions from Houston via I-10/73:

Take I-10/73 East.  Exit on TX-124 South.  Take TX-124 to the end, then turn right onto TX-87 South.  Drive about 10 miles.  On the left is a blue sign for Caplen Shores (it is an unpaved road), turn left, and look for the bright yellow house on the beach.
